Is 2 months long enough for a country of Peru's size...NO! Arguably the number one tourist destination in South America, thanks in part to Machu Picchu, we felt it deserved significant investment of both time and money. 

As the heart of the ancient Incan Empire you'd be forgiven if all energies were spent sighting ancient ruins and sampling cultures but we'd urge you to adventure further afield. Without much more effort than a long bus ride (lux coaches are standard here) you'll visit dunes for sandboarding, mountains for scaling and, we're told, Amazonian jungles to endlessly sweat in. 

Yes there's heaps of tourists but with 1.285 million square km's finding space isn't too hard. Additionally Peru is now recognised as a global food capital...as if you needed another reason to visit!
