As they say in France when Le Tour de France rolls around this is our 'Grand Depart', and so for our adventures jumping off point we picked SF, San Francisco, the Bay Area, or whatever else you wish to call California's liberal city. 

With friends based in the region and having both enjoying multiple trips here in the past  this was more of a social call before we put on our tourist onesies and diving into Central and South America. OK so there was some obligatory hot spots on our agenda but still struggling to shake off 'work-mode' we powered through them efficiently allowing us to hit the bars early :)
