Let's start off bold by stating Chile is our favourite South American country visited so far. This isn't a disservice to the other contenders, more an acknowledgment of Chile's breathtaking natural wonder and diversity.

Stretching from the barely-inhabited wilds of Patagonia to the arid wastelands of Atacama, Chile crams more into its precariously narrow frame than many countries packing a much larger geographical punch.

Whether an outdoor enthusiast, a city slicker or simply a lover of Pisco Sours, it's easy to fall for Chile's charms.
