With a full year ahead, and as natural planners, it's been difficult not to go ninja-crazy with a spreadsheet. 
That said, we've got a rough idea of the trail we'd like to take. But who knows, the best travel tips are those gathered on the road.

People have asked what we're most looking forward to. For me, it's the adventure of the great unknown. In terms of places, it's hard to pick favourites but I can't wait to sip margaritas in Mexico, salsa in Cuba, dive the Galapagos Islands, experience the rugged beauty of Chile and climb all over Patagonia. 

For Sherpa, he wants to see the very bottom of the world, Patagonia, get up to some serious altitude in the Andes, smoke some cigars in Cuba, cut into some decent steak in Argentina, washed down with a glass of Malbec.
