Monteverde - nature lives here. Up a long, misty, winding road sits a wildlife paradise with cloud forests, birds, monkeys, snakes and many more. You can take it slow or crank up the pace with a myriad of activities. Monteverde offered us a welcomed change of pace and a temperature.

Walking through the forest is taken to new heights in Monteverde. Oversea the cloud forest from suspension bridges that dangle over 100metres above the canopy. There are 8 bridges to cross, each offering spectacular vistas over this haven of biodiversity. You'll walk with endless species of birds, dance with butterflies, listen to howler monkeys and be shaded by an enchanting forest.

If nature isn't enough, you can get your coffee fix from the local coffee plantations or feel the adrenaline rush of zip lining through the cloud forest.

Sherpa donned a pair of running shoes and competed in the annual Monteverde Moonrun. It's an epic 13km race, at altitude, through forests, over suspension bridges and amongst plenty of mud. The fella came 6th. Extraordinary! I'll be expecting faster service from now on.
